Join the Golden Bay Fruit Team as a Quality Controller (QC) and Phytosanitary Inspector. 

Location: Motueka (Queen Victoria Street)
Employment type: Fixed-term / Seasonal
Pay rate: $28–$30 per hour
Season: Mid February – August/September 2026
Hours: Approx. 45 hours per week, Monday–Saturday (rostered)

About the role
This role supports quality and phytosanitary inspections to ensure fruit meets market, MPI and customer specifications during the packing season.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out quality and phytosanitary inspections
• Identify pests, defects and quality issues
• Inspect export pallets and bins
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Support training of packhouse staff where required
• Work closely with quality and packhouse teams
• Maintain clean and tidy work areas

What we’re looking for

• Strong attention to detail
• Interest in food quality and compliance
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Previous QC or packhouse experience is an advantage

• Support a culture of quality, learning and continuous improvement across the packhouse
